Nanotechnology and sport

The sportsman is always looking for perfection. However, senior athletes have disorders that are very different from those of young athletes. We discovered this during the recent episode "On the Wings of Health" of Canale Italia where Dr. Fabio Fontana, Dr. Mattia Plati, Dr. Silvia Sartore and Dr. Angeloni discussed nanotechnology and sport.
Senior athletes suffer mainly from ailments due to the fact that they wear out the body repeatedly with workouts. Professional athletes train every day, sometimes even twice a week, and with age the body's ability to recover inevitably decreases compared to a young person.
On the other hand, however, in young people growth disorders can interfere with sports performance, so support is needed to make them "grow in a balanced and healthy way and in this Taopatch® help a lot" as witnessed by Dr. Sartore, physiotherapist, posturologist and spine specialist.
Taopatch® devices are able to improve physical well-being and sports performance through the innovative technology of which they are composed: the "quantum dots".
These tiny crystals, once in contact with body heat or external light, are activated, converting the scattered light into a laser light with a therapeutic effect. Wearable 24 hours a day, the device is continuous laser therapy, always available to you.
But how does it work exactly? Nanocrystals emit a wide spectrum of light towards the body, which also includes red and infrared wavelengths. These wavelengths penetrate the skin deeper, stimulating the mitochondria, the powerhouses of our cells, to produce more energy. "In the presence of this light, the mitochondria is more efficient and produces more energy, so it is useful for a wide spectrum of benefits for the human body," explained Dr. Fontana, inventor of Taopatch®.
Taopatch® can help rebalance the central nervous system, improving posture and reducing pain caused by asymmetries. It balances all the receptors of posture and integrates them within the system, improving motor response.
Dr. Angeloni, Dentist and Taopatch® Trainer, explained: "If we have a neuroception error in one of the receptors (occlusion, eyes, vestibule and foot), certainly the information that is given to the brain is altered and therefore sometimes negative responses are created on the postural muscles. Here I often study patients or athletes who have huge and very powerful muscle masses, but who are not able to fully exploit them because the dental occlusion at that moment is in some way disturbing the neuromotor connection with those muscles".
This technology is not limited to improving sports performance, but also affects posture. It has been shown how dental occlusion can affect posture. A neuroception error at the dental level can cause negative responses on the postural muscles.
This technology, the result of 16 years of research, is certified anti-doping because it improves health and well-being without the release of chemicals or side effects. The benefits can be numerous and vary according to age and needs:
- For senior athletes, the device aids in recovery and management of joint wear and tear, which occurs due to repetitive workouts.
- For young people, Taopatch® can support the management of performance anxiety, growth disorders and even emotional states such as anger.
- In general, an improvement in strength, balance, endurance and agility can be observed.
- On a psychoemotional level, many athletes have found significant benefits.
- Another advantage is faster recovery from pain, both traumatic and overloaded.
Many athletes have benefited from Taopatch® technology, including the artistic gymnastics champions who triumphed at the 2024 Olympics (Angela Andreoli, Alice D'Amato, Elisa Iorio, Manila Esposito and Giorgia Villa) who are followed by Mattia Plati, a physiotherapist specializing in manual therapy and management of the injured athlete. "It was really a source of pride for us to be able to help them in a concrete way thanks to Taopatch® [...] They always came close to the podium, but they never managed to get the medal and so, going in search of new technologies, they met us and the first time they met us they brought us the athlete who had the most difficulty, Giorgia Villa. She had been struggling for a long time, she had this back pain and we managed, thanks to Taopatch®, to reduce the pain, to make her take less medication, to make her sleep at night and finally she began, slowly, to train again. She was our zero athlete who then allowed us to follow the other athletes and from then on we started following the whole team month after month," said Dr. Plati.
Alessandro Ballan, 2008 road cycling world champion, who was also present on the show added: "Cycling is one of the toughest sports, it is very extreme like a marathon. But, unlike the marathon, you don't run just one day and then you have time to recover. Let's think of the Giro d'Italia that lasts for three weeks. I always tell Fabio that the misfortune is to have discovered this device after his career. Maybe with this device I could have done something more before".
