Nordic Walking and Taopatch®: a collaboration for well-being

Have you ever noticed people walking briskly using two poles? They are practitioners of Nordic Walking, a physical activity that enriches the traditional  walk by intensely involving the trunk and upper limbs thanks to the use of specific poles. These tools allow you to advance with greater strength, activating more muscle groups and improving endurance, coordination and the health of the circulatory, lymphatic and respiratory systems.  

Nordic Walking is therefore an ideal exercise to awaken and strengthen the basic motor pattern of walking and is even recommended by physiotherapists as a valid support in rehabilitation paths in neurological patients.    

The term Nordic Walking was coined in 1999, while in Italy, the first National Instructors were trained in 2007. The following year the Italian Nordic Walking School (SINW) was born, officially recognized by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) in 2013 as a FIDAL sports discipline. SINW is dedicated to the dissemination and protection of the discipline, training qualified technicians and organizing national events such as the International Nordic Walking Festival, the NW Agonistico Circuit and the Cammino L'Italia Relay.  

From today, SINW collaborates with Tao Technologies to promote the use of the Taopatch® nanotechnological device through the practice of Nordic Walking. Thanks to this partnership, Taopatch® will be present in the main events organized by SINW, including the Race Final, the Style Final, the Nordic Walking Festival and the Instructor Camps.
